Designed for controlled gob production across a wide weight range
EMP’s Gob Feeders are designed for the production of glass gobs ranging from several grams up to 5 kilograms. Depending on the required weight range, the systems can be equipped with multiple exchangeable heated orifices, allowing the solution to be adapted to specific production needs.
The gob size and shape are controlled through the rotation and vertical movement of the screw plunger, while the gob-forming process is operated via a touchscreen and PLC control system.
When required by the glass quality standard, the system can also include a stirrer for cord removal and homogenization, a drain for impurity removal, and a refiner for bubble removal.
